BRAD STOFFERS, M.Ed, CSCS
As a lifelong fitness and performance enthusiast I have spent my entire adult and professional career charged with improving people, most specifically their athletic performance and health. With over 16 years in coaching and sport performance I have had the privilege to meet so many amazing people throughout the World diversifying my professional experience through work at 3 NCAA Division 1 institutions, 2 Professional teams, 2 private sector training facilities, a prep school, and numerous youth sport organizations and associations. I have a Master's degree in Education and Coaching and have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2008. I have been helping people and teams achieve their goals my entire life and I would like to help you.

From my earliest days I was the kid obsessed with movement, sports, and healthy living. I spent my youth years learning and developing my skills in every sport I caught wind about. I would organize my friends in the backyard or throughout the neighborhood to play pickup sports and other games and as I grew older it became working out in the basement and training friends through backyard "practices" while my peers were at playing video games or chasing trouble. Little did I know, I was developing my lifelong passion for sport performance and coaching.

This passion drew me to college where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health at Miami University. Here I learned the scientific foundations behind everything I had been doing in those early years in my parent's basement; further piquing my interest and motivating me to learn more. I was eager to learn during the day and interested in hands on application at night. I was fortunate to land a coaching job with a local High School hockey team and an internship in the Miami University weight room. It was in these two positions I learned the ropes behind this invigorating career path and fell in love. Following graduation there seemed to be no other path I would take.

My next stop took me to Boston University where I landed one of two spots as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Again, I would be hands on in the trenches with athletes and teams during the day training them to be better at their sport and learning and growing my knowledge base at night through their Master's program in the School of Education and Coaching. I am so thankful for the many experiences I had in these two years including all the people I met including Mike Boyle, world renown Strength and Conditioning coach and the best in the business, who offered me a position working alongside him in the Summer of 2009, a position that would change my life. In only 4 months of work the people I met, experience I gained, and things I learned was a moment in time I realized everything I thought I knew, I really didn't know. This professional "ah ha" experience opened my mind and motivated me to do more. It was no wonder that year Mike Boyle's gym was named Best Gym in the U.S. by Men's Health magazine! After two years of extreme professional growth it was again time to graduate and move on.

Over the next several years I continued taking what I learned and applied it to jobs with the Anaheim Ducks (NHL), Trenton Titans (ECHL), RPI Hockey (NCAA D1), Nashville Junior Predators Youth Hockey, Springfield Jr. Blues Hockey, and the Chicago Cougars Junior hockey team. In 2018, exactly 10 years after graduating from Miami and first being recognized in the sports performance field as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, I jumped back into the private sector of sport performance training and created my own company Functional Athletic Systems Training (F.A.S.T.) where our team aims to use everything I've learned to help positively impact as many athletes we can. Thank you for visiting and we look forward to helping you!
